About Liv

Hello and welcome! 😊

It is truly a privilege to share my creative journey with you. My path to art began during a dark period in my life when, as a teenager, I struggled with severe mental health challenges, particularly anorexia. For nearly a decade, I battled this illness, which eventually led me to spend over a year in the hospital. It was a tough and transformative time, but art saved my life.

At the time, I didn’t realize how much of my healing was happening through the process of creating. Every day, I sketched, painted, and drew, pouring my emotions into my work. It was my way of calming my mind and expressing what I couldn’t say with words. Looking back now, I can see that the art I created during those years was deeply emotional and sometimes even dark. But it was an outlet, a safe space where I could process my struggles. I’m incredibly grateful for that opportunity, as it gave me the ability to work through life-threatening behaviours and a toxic mindset.

When I moved to Australia, I continued using the skills I had developed to overcome anorexia. Through this, I discovered a newfound love for life. My artwork began to shift, becoming brighter, happier, and full of colour—reflecting my joy for living.

Art has become my purpose. Now, I create with the intention: to add value, connect people, spark curiosity, offer moments of reflection, and enhance emotional well-being.

Art with a Purpose

All of my art aims to bring something positive into the viewer’s life. I am proud to collaborate with mental health organizations such as WAAMH, the Blue Tree Project, Happiness Co and The Happy Hugs Movement. I firmly believe that art has the power to heal—whether through the act of creating or the experience of simply viewing a piece of art. My gift and passion are to share this healing power with as many people as possible. This is why I set up Art Works By Liv, a creative life skills offering to make the benefit of art accessible to all

When people ask me where I find inspiration, my answer is simple: LIFE. I love life in all its forms. After coming so close to losing mine, I now treasure every moment. Whether it’s jumping in the ocean, running up a hill, sitting in nature, or even looking under a rock, life constantly offers me new wonders. These moments of joy and curiosity are what inspire my work.

My mission is to live life fully and to share that passion through my art. I hope to inspire you to embrace each day and find the beauty in the world around you.

Sending you a virtual smile and a happy hug! 😊
